The High Definition Sony HDR-UX7E Camcorder
Small, lightweight and relatively inexpensive, this AVCHD DVD Handycam features innovative High Definition technology for outstanding video footage that brings your memories to life.
Exceptional Picture Quality
Choose the Sony HDR-UX7E and you can expect stunning high-quality pictures thanks to the range of Sony technology packed into this compact camcorder. The ClearVid CMOS Sensor technology produces enhanced High Definition pictures with greater sensitivity, wider dynamic range and reduced smear; whilst the Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens ensures clear and crisp images – particularly when shooting up to 6.1 Megapixel resolution still photographs. Sony’s ‘Super SteadyShot’ Optical Image Stabilisation technology minimises the effects of handshake, to make sure your images are blur-free even when shooting in low light conditions. When shooting in low light, the Auto Slow Shutter function will automatically boost the minimum illumination performance to 2 lux so you can continue shooting even when the light fades.
Natural Colour Reproduction
The Sony HDR-UX7E uses x.v.Colour mode to almost double the range of colours that are accurately reproduced to closely match the natural characteristics of the human eye. The results are more vivid, natural-looking reds, blues and greens that further enhance the quality of your movies and photographs. The x.v.Colour used in the HDR-UX7E Handycam is also compatible with televisions that utilise the xvYCC standard, so you can share and enjoy your images in perfect colour reproduction.
Clear Photo LCD Plus Touch Screen
Framing and reviewing your shots is easy with the HDR-UX7E’s flip-out LCD touch panel which features Clear Photo LCD plus technology to cover a wider colour range with improved contrast, making it even easier to use in bright sunlight. Additional zoom and recording start/stop buttons are located within easy reach on the frame of the LCD screen so you can quickly use these functions.
Manual Control Functionality
For more experienced videographers, the Sony HDR-UX7E’s settings (including focus, exposure and white balance) can be manually controlled using the easy-to-reach Assignable Dial so you can have complete control over your filming. The Dual Rec function allows you to simultaneously record video and shoot high resolution still images; whilst the Smooth Slow Rec setting captures fast-moving action at 200 frames per second to produce smooth and natural slow motion playback with sound.
High Definition Viewing
By storing your High Definition pictures on readily-available 8cm DVD discs, it is easy to share and watch your footage over and over again using any AVCHD-compatible Blu-ray player (such as the Playstation 3). In addition, the HDR-UX7E can be connected to any HD-ready television using the HDMI connector allowing you to enjoy your High Definition videos from the comfort of your sofa using the supplied remote control.
