The Sony HDR-UX19E High Definition Camcorder
Sony has combined outstanding full High Definition 1920×1080 video with advanced imaging technology, including Face Detection, to enhance the quality and clarity of movie footage.
High Definition Video
Full HD 1920×1080 video recording at high bit-rate (14Mbps) using Sony’s AVCHD format which allows for up to 3 hours of High Definition recording directly onto the 8GB internal memory, and the ability to burn your footage on to 8cm DVDs so you can easily share and archive your movies (HYBRID Plus).
Exceptional Image Quality
The Sony HDR-UX19E produces wonderfully clear and crisp footage thanks to the range of technology that has been packed into this compact camcorder. The ClearVid CMOS sensor features Exmor derived technology to produce pictures of outstanding quality with high sensitivity and low noise. Powered by Sony’s BIONZ high-speed image processor, the D-Range Optimiser automatically adjusts the exposure and contrast of your shots to ensure every scene is evenly-exposed, which is particularly important when shooting in tricky backlit conditions.
Innovative Sony Technology
The Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens offers an impressive 15x optical zoom and 180x digital zoom, allowing you to shoot both near and far subjects without compromising the image quality. In addition, blur-free shots are almost guaranteed with the HDR-UX19E which uses Sony’s Super SteadyShot optical image stabilisation technology to reduce the effects of hand-shake, particularly in low light conditions. In addition, the intelligent Face Detection technology with Bit Allocation recognises and focuses on individual faces within a frame for clearer, more natural looking people shots.
Vivid, Lifelike Colours
Picture quality is further enhanced by Sony’s x.v.Colour mode, which produces nearly double the amount of colours of a regular RGB palette. The results are more realistic and natural colour reproduction, although these can only be truly experienced when you view your movies on a High Definition television.
Versatile and Practical
The Sony HDR-UX19E can also be used to produce up to 4.0 megapixel still photographs which can be stored on a removable Memory Stick. Alternatively, select the clever Advanced Dual Rec mode to simultaneously capture up to 3.0 megapixel still photos whilst recording video footage, allowing you to capture special events in two formats. The PhotoTV HD output lets you easily enjoy and share your optimised still images on any compatible HD-ready TV in full High Definition quality.
LCD Plus Touch Screen
It is now even easier to frame and review your shots, with the HDR-UX19E’s 2.7” Wide Hybrid Clear Photo LCD Plus touch-screen. The higher screen resolution allows you to view your footage in almost twice as many colours as standard screens and with improved contrast so your shots remain clear even in bright sunlight.
