Exceptional Picture Quality
The Sony HDR-SR12E produces wonderful High-Definition 1920×1080 videos and still images with up to 10 megapixels resolution. Picture quality can be attributed to the Sony ClearVid CMOS sensor within the camcorder, which features Exmor technology for ultra high resolution and high sensitivity shooting, with reduced noise. In addition, Sony’s BIONZ image processor offers high-speed signal processing to guarantee your shots are perfect every time.
Shoot in All Conditions
With the acclaimed Carl Zeiss 15x zoom lens you can easily capture distant subjects without compromising the picture quality. The Sony HDR-SR12E also features Sony’s Super SteadyShot Optical Image Stabilisation technology which reduces camera shake, particularly when shooting at high zoom levels or in poorly lit conditions. Awkwardly lit conditions are automatically taken care of thanks to the D-Range Optimiser which adjusts the exposure and contrast settings to produce beautiful results.
Innovative Shooting Features
The range of Sony technology packed into the HDR-SR12E camcorder makes it easy to shoot pictures of exceptional quality. The Face Detection feature automatically adjusts the focus, exposure and tonal colours within a frame to create beautifully natural-looking faces; this is teamed with the Face Detection Bit Allocation which attributes more information to faces within a frame to produce the best-possible quality.
Easy-to-use Functionality
Despite the broad range of technology, the Sony HDR-SR12E camcorder is extremely easy-to-use, whether you are a beginner or advanced user. The photo-quality 3.2” Xtra Fine LCD touch-screen displays footage in fine detail with superb contrast and a wide viewing angle. Use the touch-screen to search and find scenes in your footage using one of clever indexing options: Film Roll Index allows you to search according to time intervals, whilst the Face Index allows you to browse scenes containing family and friends.
Enjoy HD Pictures and Sound
To allow you to easily share and enjoy your High-Definition movies, you can archive your footage onto compact 8cm DVD discs or a removable Memory Stick (optional). Connect the camcorder directly to any HD-ready TV and the new BRAVIA Sync will allow you to control the camcorder playback functions using your Sony LCD television’s remote control.
