The Sony HDR-SR11E High Definition Camcorder
Capture special memories of holidays and family occasions with exceptionally high quality HD 1920×1080 movies and up to 10 megapixel still photographs. The impressive 60GB hard disk drive allows the user to record up to 22 hours of video without the need for discs or tapes.
Superb Picture Quality
Despite its compact size, the Sony HDR-SR11E is packed full with all the latest Sony technology to produce beautifully crisp and clear pictures. The ClearVid CMOS sensor with Exmor derived technology produces pictures of outstanding quality with reduce noise and high sensitivity, allowing you to confidently shoot in low-light conditions or at high-zoom levels. The BIONZ high-speed image processor controls the various camcorder functions to quickly process shots and retain natural colour reproduction.
Innovative Recording Technology
The acclaimed Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens has a 12x optical zoom and 150x digital zoom to allow you to effortlessly capture distant subjects without worrying about losing picture quality. To ensure your footage is blur-free, the HDR-SR11E features Sony’s Super SteadyShot optical image stabilisation technology to reduce the effects of camera shake that can occur when shooting at high-zoom levels or in poor light. The D-Range Optimiser automatically adjusts the exposure and contrast settings for wonderfully-exposed footage – even in tricky backlit conditions.
Natural and Lifelike Footage
The Sony HDR-SR11E camcorder has an x.v.Colour mode, to guarantee brilliant and lifelike colour reproduction. The benefits of this feature are particularly realised when viewing your movies or images on an HD-ready TV, as the depth and vibrancy of the colours will really be brought to life. When shooting friends and family, the Face Detection technology with Bit Allocation ensures faces within the scene are clear and natural-looking.
Flexible Functionality
With the option to capture and store 10 megapixel still images, the Sony HDR-SR11E is a great all-round camcorder. Select the Advanced Dual Rec and you can even shoot up to 7.6 megapixel still photos whilst recording video footage, meaning you can enjoy photos and videos of special occasions. The Quick ON button quickly starts-up the camcorder from sleep mode, so you never have to miss a shot waiting for the camera to switch on.
Faster Scene Searches
The Sony HDR-SR11E has a range of indexing options allowing you to quickly search and locate scenes from your stored footage. The Face Index works with the Face Detection Technology to produce thumbnail images of faces – simply tap the photo-quality 3.2” Wide Xtra Fine LCD touch-screen to play your selected scene. Alternatively, choose the Film Roll Index to search scenes within each recorded chapter at your own defined intervals, from 3 seconds to 5 minutes.
High Definition Output
Use the HDMI connector to enjoy your HD video on any HD-ready TV, and the PhotoTV HD output to view your still photographs in fantastic detail and depth. To save and store your movies on discs or on a PC, use the HDR-SR11E’s One Touch Disc Burn and Easy PC back up via the USB 2.0 High speed connection.
