The Sony DSLR-A700P Digital SLR Camera and Lens

Designed for semi-professionals and photography enthusiasts, the DSLR-A700P offers 12.2 megapixel resolution and the latest Sony technology to ensure you capture beautifully bright, crisp high-definition images.

Outstanding Image Quality

The DSLR-A700P features high-speed processing technology that intelligently adjusts the camera’s settings to capture exceptionally high-quality photos. The enhanced D-range Optimiser (DRO) automatically corrects the contrast and hue for well-exposed shots – this is particularly useful for tricky high-contrast or backlit scenes. With five levels of optimisation and an advanced bracketing mode, the A700P can capture the same scene at different DRO settings to ensure you capture perfect images. The high-range ISO 3200 sensitivity lets you continue shooting, no matter what the lighting conditions, confident that the A700P will continue to produce spectacular shots. Sony’s in-camera Super SteadyShot optical image stabilisation technology minimises camera-shake when shooting in low light or without a tripod, to drastically reduce the chance of blurred images.

Sony’s Impressive Auto-focus System

You are guaranteed perfectly focused images with the DSLR-A700P, which begins to make precise auto-focus adjustments the instant you bring your eye to the viewfinder. Known as Eye-Start auto-focus, this system ensures the A700P is always ready to capture your shots and is particularly useful when shooting fast-moving subjects. In addition, an 11-point centre dual cross auto-focus sensor which allows the user to more accurately frame a subject; a focus drive clutch allows you to swap effortlessly between auto- and manual-focusing by pressing just one button.

Perceptive Camera Navigation

The Sony A700P’s ‘Quick Navi’ interface provides immediate access to the selection of camera functions through the easy-to-use joystick and a range of icons on the 3-inch Xtra Fine LCD screen. Settings can then be adjusted directly without having to access additional sub-menus, while up to three user memories can be saved for instant recall of 28 camera settings – a great feature for photographers that shoot in regulated studio conditions. Functions that are used most often, such as file size and auto-focus area select, can be assigned to a dedicated custom button for ultra-fast shooting sessions.

High-Definition Sharing and Viewing

With Sony’s ‘PhotoTV HD’ picture mode, you can view and share your images in full high-definition quality via the A700P’s built-in HDMI output which connects directly to any HD-ready TV. Images are automatically optimised for subtler, more natural colour and textures which allow you to really enjoy your shots and allow others to experience the depth and clarity of your images. High-Definition slideshows can be controlled using the IR remote which acts as a remote shutter release for self-portraits and other ‘shooting at a distance’ applications.

Powerful Lens Technology

The DSLR-A700P comes with Sony’s high-performance wide-aperture zoom lens which offers impressive detail when creating large prints and has a broad range of focal lengths. The A700P is also compatible with Sony “G” Series lenses which feature advanced motorised auto-focusing; the wonderfully bright Carl Zeiss T coated lenses; and over 16 million Minolta a-mount lenses. Sony’s innovative Anti-Dust technology ensures there is no risk of dust settling on the camera lens and affecting your shots.
