Innovative In-camera Technology
The Sony A700K is packed full of Sony’s technological expertise, including the Super SteadyShot Image Stabilisation feature which adjusts the sensor to counteract camera shake and automatically reduce blur, this is particularly relevant when shooting in low light conditions or without a tripod. The DSLR-A700K camera also has a Sony Bionz Image Processor to improve the camera’s response time and screen out image noise before converting the RAW data. The processor also controls the Dynamic Range Optimiser which improves the detail in dark or bright areas of the picture: standard mode improves shadow detail, whilst Advanced Auto mode lets the user select one of the five DRO correction levels. To ensure you get the perfect image, choose DRO Advanced Bracketing to capture three versions of the image at different DRO levels.
Accurate Focusing and Exposure
With the Eye-Start auto-focus system, the Sony A700K starts making adjustments to the focus as soon as you bring your eye to the viewfinder, rather than waiting until the shutter button is half-pressed like other cameras. The 11-point Centre Dual Cross auto-focus sensor allows you to accurately frame your subject and take great action shots in perfect focus, although a focus drive clutch allows you to switch between auto and manual focusing at the touch of a button. For enhanced exposure control, in a variety of lighting conditions, Sony has included a 40-segment honeycomb sensing system which provides multi-pattern measuring for faultless image accuracy.
Creative Control
Experiment with creative image settings to really enhance your photography, with four basic styles and three style-box memory settings which allow you to swiftly setup shots at special occasions such as weddings and sporting events. The DSLR-A700K’s top-mounted dial provides quick access to a number of standard setting modes, plus an additional six scene selection modes, Sports Action, Portrait, Landscape, Sunset, Macro, and Night View/Portrait. The A700K will automatically optimise the focus, exposure, contrast and brightness depending on the conditions, allowing you to concentrate on composing the ideal shot.
Simple Operation
Despite the wide range of high-tech features, the DSLR-A700K is remarkably easy to use with intuitive menus and a handy memory function which can save and recall your personal camera settings. You can easily switch the Xtra Fine 3.0” LCD screen from the standard menu information to a Quick Navigation screen which lets you manage the camera settings using the joystick and forward-back controls.

The DSLR-A700K has been designed to work with Sony’s wide-aperture zoom lenses, the Sony “G” Series lenses with advanced motorised auto-focusing, the incredibly bright Carl Zeiss T coated lenses, and other professional-quality flash units so you can really experiment and produce stunning images.
