Sony DSLR-A350X Digital Camera Review
The Versatile Sony Digital SLR A350X and Lens Kit
Sony has combined the impressive DSLR A350 with two lenses: a Standard Zoom (18-70mm F3.5-5.6) and Telephoto Zoom (55-200mm F4-5.6). Expect outstanding optical quality from wide-angle to telephoto, capable of shooting in a range of situations and conditions.
Quick Auto Focus Live View
The DSLR A350X boasts Sony’s Quick AF Live View technology – this allows the user to preview images in real-time whilst using the continuous shooting feature, a unique feature amongst SLR cameras. A Smart Teleconverter function is available when using Live View mode, which provides an immediate digital zoom factor of 1.4x or 2x, to increase the effective focal length range of the lens. When using the digital zoom, the high-resolution sensor helps to ensure outstanding image quality.
Wonderful Images
With a remarkably high-resolution 14.2 effective megapixel APS-C CCD sensor, the Sony A350X SLR captures lifelike images with depth and clarity. Sony’s advanced BIONZ image processing engine optimises the operation of the CCD sensor and powers the enhanced D-Range Optimiser, which adjusts the exposure to correct dark shadows and highlight fine detail within the image. The camera identifies tricky backlit scenes and adjusts various settings to produce breathtaking photographs no matter what the shooting conditions – ideal for taking perfect portraits every time.
Anti-blur Sony Technology
The DSLR A350X utilises Sony’s Super SteadyShot technology to reduce handshake which can result in blurred images. Anti-shake correction is between 2.5 and 3.5 steps, no matter which lens you are using.
High Sensitivity Shooting
Shooting handheld in badly-lit conditions without the flash is easy with the Sony A350X, which offers a maximum sensitivity of ISO 3200. Picture quality at high sensitivity settings is assured with the High ISO Noise Reduction mode, which makes sure images are clear and crisp even when using the zoom.
2.7-inch Variable Angle LCD
Complete creativity and flexibility are made easy with the A350X SLR, thanks to the 2.7-inch LCD screen, which tilts upwards by up to 130 degrees and down by up to 40 degrees. By varying the angle of the screen, the user can remain face-to-face with their subject. Exposure compensation and white balance can be previewed in live view mode to ensure you capture the perfect image.
Easy-to-use Functionality
The Sony A350X cleverly remembers and stores the functions that are used most frequently. These can then be accessed by pressing the Function button to display a list of the most popular settings. This making set-up shots a lot easier and quicker.
Anti-dust Lens Protection
To prevent dust getting into the camera when changing lenses, the A350X features an anti-dust coating on the CCD sensor which vibrates when the camera is turned off to dislodge any dust that may have settled there.
