Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S650 - easy-to-use and affordable

Produce high quality photographs with the easy-to-use Sony Cyber-shot S650, an affordable and compact digital camera with a 1/2.5-inch Super HAD CCD sensor and a resolution of 7.2 effective megapixels. Distance shots are enhanced by the 3x optical zoom lens which provides 6x digital zoom capability and up to 14x smart zoom, to ensure far objects and landscapes are crisp and bright.

Intelligent Shooting Settings

The impressive seven Scene Selection modes ensure the camera settings are adjusted for optimum results, depending on the shooting conditions; the useful Function Guide displays an on-screen description of each shooting mode, which helps you to select exactly the right mode for your subject. In High Sensitivity (Recommended Exposure Index) mode, the Sony Cyber-shot S650’s sensitivity is boosted to ISO 1000 – perfect for capturing clear, blur-free images in difficult low light conditions without the flash.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S650 is perfect for beginners: easy-to-understand on-screen icons help the user to select flash, macro, self timer and other settings; the camera also provides guidance on how many photos can be taken with the remaining memory, and can even suggest the most suitable image resolution for a preferred print paper size. The ‘Direct Play’ button conveniently switches to playback so you can instantly check your shots.

Shooting Stamina

Despite weighing just 130g (excluding battery and removable Memory Stick media), the Cyber-shot S650 has a 24MB internal memory and can take up to 460 shots from a single charge of the optional Li MH battery (NH-AA-2DB), so you do not have to worry about running out of power whilst you are away. This camera can also be powered by two standard AA Alkaline batteries (supplied in the box).

Easy Image Management

Use the large, bright 2.0-inch TFT LCD screen to frame and review shots before uploading your pictures to a connected PC. The Picture Motion Browser (Version 2.0) software makes it simple to manage your images and make quick amends; whilst the AV cable allows you to connect and view your photos on a television or other display device.
