The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-N2 – Powerful Shooting & Styling

The Sony Cyber-Shot N2 was the first compact Cyber-shot camera to feature a 10.1 effective Megapixel Super HAD CCD and an impressive sensitivity rating of ISO 1600 – as a result, this digital camera produces wonderful high resolution, blur-free shots every time.

High Resolution Images

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N2 uses Sony’s 1/1.7-inch Super HAD CCD sensor with an exceptionally high resolution of 10.1 effective Megapixels. The sensor increases the dynamic range, to reduce the factors that can cause “washed out” overexposed images – a problem that can occur in cameras with a high pixel count. In addition, the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens features a 3x Optical Zoom range, 6x Precision Digital Zoom and 17x VGA Smart Zoom allowing the user to shoot superb far-distance pictures.

High Sensitivity Settings

With an enhanced sensitivity of ISO 1600 and special high sensitivity mode, the Sony Cyber-shot N2 selects the optimum ISO settings to reduce colour and luminance noise. The results are crisp, natural images – even when shooting in low-light conditions (such as indoors or at dusk) without the flash indoors.

3.0-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus Touch Screen

The remarkable Touch-Screen is perfect for viewing your shots and accessing the various functions and settings; you can even add artistic additions to your photos using the Paint Pen stylus (included). The Clear Photo LCD Plus technology ensures images are displayed with perfect clarity and colour reproduction, whilst the screen’s smooth anti-reflection layer reduces reflections – perfect for viewing your shots outside in bright sunlight. Select Slideshow mode to view your photos with additional effects (simple, nostalgic, stylish, or active) and optional background music.

A Portable Pocket Album

The Sony Cyber-shot N2 includes a 25MB internal memory, plus an additional memory that can store up to 500 images. These are automatically saved as thumbnail-sized VGA copies – the N2 even organises your photos so you can easily browse and share your photos in Pocket Album mode. The thumbnails are saved on the camera even after the original images have been transferred to a PC or Memory Stick.

Picture Motion Browser Software

When you are ready to transfer your images to a PC, the Picture Motion Browser software (included) makes it a quick and easy task. Photos are automatically organised in calendar format, or purchase the Sony GPS-CS1 to overlay your images on a world map – a great way to quickly find your holiday snaps!

Sony N2 - Shooting on the Go

At just 151g, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N2 camera is perfect for taking out and about and on holidays. Sony’s STAMINA battery technology allows up to 300 shots from a single charge, equating to around 2.5 hours of continuous shooting, so you can relax safe in the knowledge that your camera will keep going as long as you do.
