Samsung J700i

The Samsung J700i is one of the cheaper and more stylish budget phones available on the market today, and certainly one of the best produced by mobile phone manufacturer Samsung. It is aimed more at the budget market but has all the needed mobile phone ‘extras’ such as a camera, MP3 player etc.

The first thing that you will notice when you get the Samsung J700i in your hands is how amazingly light it is. At just 92kg the Samsung is easily one of the lightest slide phones on the marketplace right now – a distance away from the ever heavier and clunkier smart phones that seem to be coming out every day. Indeed at 14mm thin it is not just lightweight but small too.

Being a slide phone the J700i is able to incorporate a large screen without it affecting the design. At 2 inches the TFT screen will be able to do anything you want it to do, form video to gaming, without any difficulty.

This, in part, explains the popularity of the Samsung J700i. But it is not just a stylish stripped down budget phone, it contains far more than that.

The phone uses a 1.3 mega pixel camera to enable you to capture any photos that you want to. It also allows for video to be filmed as well, which gives it a considerable advantage over many ‘budget’ style phones that tend to skimp on features such as these.

It also works as a music system as the Samsung J700i contains an MP3 player option. This is important in again distinguishing itself from many budget phones and allowing more functions to the user. The internal disk space is able to be upgraded to 8 GB if needed – which is a massive amount of songs, more than many purpose built MP3 players. In addition to this there is the radio option, allowing you access to all the FM music channels, also sports, weather, news and the like.

Getting music onto the phone, and photos and videos off it, couldn’t be easier. The J700i supports both bluetooth and direct wire transfer technologies, making the transferring of files a breeze.

As you would expect from a Samsung the battery life is very impressive – up to 250 hours in stand by mode (and 3 hours of talk time on one charge), which is far better than many top level phones and very comparable to any budget phones on the market.

The reason the Samsung J700i has become so popular is it manages to combine a lot of the features you would expect to find in a mid to top range phone and instead incorporate them into a very affordable budget phone. Add to this the style. Reliability and ease of use that this phone shares with other Samsung’s and you understand how this phone is standing the test of time where other budget phones disappear within months of them being made.
