Retell Digital Answering Machines
Retell digital answering machines are used by many offices (such as dental and general practices) and in private homes due to their multifunctional abilities. Three of the main Retell answering machines and their main features will be outlines below.
Retell Digital Answering Machine 332
This model is recommended for light and moderate use as it only has a capacity of 50 minutes recording time; however this capacity could decrease when recording quality is adjusted to a higher setting.
Designed for analogue and cordless telephones, this answering machine will work with any BT landline in the UK. There is no installation necessary due to the easy plug and play 2 minute set up. The call list shows time and date stamps as well as Call Line Identity, CLI.
Furthermore it shows up to 30 last calls and it is possible to return calls from the list. When messages are played back, the user has the option to step backwards and forwards between them. This machine comes with 4 outgoing messages of which 1 is pre-recorded and the remaining 3 can be customised at a maximum of 180 seconds each.
The machine holds up to a maximum of 100 messages which can be deleted individually or all at once. Personal memos can be recorded and an automatic conversation recorder helps manage calls and information. This model has a record space indicator (in percentage) and a flash memory drive.
Retell Mailbox Digital Answering Machine 540
This model is only compatible with analogue telephones and is designed to replace the Retell 340 answering machine. It has 1 hour maximum capacity which entails keeping up to 100 messages and 100 phone numbers in the directory. Its recording quality can be adjusted to a higher setting which would result in a lower capacity of 30 minutes.
This model is recommended for office usage where multiple users can take advantage of its features. A 10 switching time feature enables setting outgoing messages at certain times of day on multiple days. For example, one outgoing message can be played at a certain time on one day and a further message at another time on a different day, and so on.
This machine can also call or SMS a mobile phone to alert the owner of new messages. Messages can be skipped through during playback and CLI is shown in the call list. For back up purposes, messages can also be downloaded to a computer. With the help of 4 mailboxes and individual remote access to each mailbox, calls can be managed more easily particularly in a business environment. A 4 digit remote access code can be set and there is also an option to lock the answering machine with a further code.
Retell Professional Answering Centre 570
This Retell model is suitable for more professional purposes and frequent use due to its 4 hours maximum capacity. 200 phone numbers can be stored in the phone directory and up to 14 different outgoing messages (OGM) can be recorded (one is pre-set) at unlimited time.
All messages and calls are time and date stamped and if the machine is subscribed to the CLI service, caller ID is also available. Like the Retell 540 model is also has 10 switching times to set OGMs during particular times on certain days. Like its sibling models its recording quality can be adjusted which would reduce the overall recording capacity. 4 mailboxes enable easier call management and due to USB connectivity messages can also be backed up on a computer.
Furthermore it has automatic conversation recording, code locking, memo recording ability, flash memory, an alarm input and recording space indicator. Messages can be skipped backwards and forwards during playback and it can dial or SMS a mobile phone for message alerts.
