Plantronics Headsets for Home Users

For the home user, Plantronics has two key headset products, which fall into either the S series or the T series.

Plantronics S12

The Plantronics S12 is a good value cordless headset that is intended for home users, or those who operate small offices. As with all good headsets the S12 can be adapted to hang from a headband or from the ear using a hook, allowing the user to pick whichever is the most comfortable for them. The S12 is monaural and the single speaker is padded and cups over the outside of the ear to increase the comfort further. The microphone is fixed to the left side of the headset and it extends on an adjustable boom.

Noise cancellation is built into the microphone, which means that busy exterior environments will not detract from the calling quality. Because this is a cordless headset, you can use it over a generous range. This means you could wander from room to room, or leave the headset in a different location to the base station. Because other household member or workers may not realise that you are on the phone, the base station comes with an in-use light which illuminates whenever you are using the headset, no matter where you are.

Plantronics T10

The Plantronics T10 is a slightly more complex corded headset solution for the home or small office user. It has a large keypad that can be used to make calls, as well as fully adjustable volume levels. The T10 plugs into a standard analogue landline connection and the headset is attached by a cord, so there is no need to recharge it after use.

The cord itself has a clip to attach to the user’s clothes to make sure that it does not become entangled and awkward to use. This headset makes hands-free calling possible in your home and leaves you with enough limbs to operate a computer, take a note or deal with any number of other tasks.
