Philips BDP9500 Blu-Ray Player
This Philips Blu-Ray player is the top of the current line up from Phillips and the firm describes it as an indulgent device packed with functionality and clever technology. It has a special image processing engine called Qdeo which is applied to every type of media that you playback using the BDP9500 and this results in significant quality improvements and digital noise reduction across the board.
The Philips BDP9500 can be used with a wide selection of optical discs, including Blu-Ray, DVD, CD and every recordable and rewritable variant of the three. You can connect this player to the internet via an Ethernet network cable and use your home broadband connection to access special content that is used to augment certain Blu-Ray releases, referred to as BD-Live. There is also a USB 2.0 port into which you can insert your own USB memory stick, loaded with music and videos from your home computer.
The BDP9500 is best used in conjunction with an HDTV, and preferably one with direct tv hd receivers, that supports full HD 1080p and it will act to upscale any non-HD video to make it look its best on a modern display.” You can even view your digital photographs using the device and this will allow for full sized viewing pleasure for everyone.
