The Nintendo DS Lite is a refined and tweaked version of the original, groundbreaking Nintendo DS device. Dual screens, Touch Screen technology with stylus, advanced graphics and wireless connectivity deliver the ultimate portable gaming experience.
Dual Screen Technology
The dual backlit LCD screens of the Nintendo DS Lite bring enhanced visual interaction to the world of hand-held gaming. Each of the sharp 3” screens displays 3D graphics in crisp resolution and bright, vivid colour. In fact, the visuals power of the DS Lite is more advanced than that of the Nintendo 64 games console, truly impressive for a pocket-sized device.
The dual screens deliver a more in-depth portable gaming experience; action can take place on both screens simultaneously, a second viewpoint can be utilised and inventories checked without pausing the game.
Touch Screen
A truly innovative feature of the Nintendo DS Lite is the Touch Screen technology built into the lower screen. The DS Lite’s unique stylus works in unison with the screen to add a new dimension of gaming interaction; control characters and actions with a stroke of the stylus, answer questions, solve puzzles and even draw pictures, the interactive possibilities are endless.
Advanced Gaming
Sophisticated wireless technology allows you to connect with up to 16 friends and play over a local wireless network. Single-Card Play means that multiplayer games can take place even if only one of you has a game cartridge.
A microphone built into the Nintendo DS Lite allows you to communicate with fellow gamers over the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection for a greatly enhanced multiplayer experience when playing selected games. Some game titles even use the microphone to allow voice commands to trigger actions during gameplay.
Online Capabilities
Nintendo Wi-Fi connectivity lets you take your online gaming experience even further by taking on friends and family from all over the world. The service is free, safe and easy to use; all you need is an existing internet connection or access to Wi-Fi hotspots.
Nintendo DS Lite Browser (sold separately) turns your DS console into a portable web device, allowing you to browse the internet, shop online and send and receive emails. The browser is based on the popular Opera software and delivers full internet features such as web history, bookmarks and parental control.
Stereo Sound
The powerful stereo sound provided by the Nintendo DS Lite’s integrated speakers provide exceptional audio quality. Surround sound is featured in some games.
GBA Compatible
The Nintendo DS Lite features a built-in slot for Nintendo Game Boy Advance cartridges, allowing you to play your treasured GBA back catalogue on your new system.
DS Lite Accessories
A range of innovative optional accessories such as Nintendo DS Rumble Pak, Nintendo MP3 Player and Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, extends the gaming and media possibilities provided by the Nintendo DS Lite.
Other Features
The lithium ion battery included with the Nintendo DS Lite provides up to 19 hours of playing time with a single charge. Handy functions such as an alarm clock and calendar come onboard the DS Lite.

The Nintendo DS Lite measures 133 x 73.9 x 21.5 mm and weighs just 218 g.
