Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2

The IdeaPad S10-2 laptop from Lenovo is part of the lifestyle range of portable computers that this well respected manufacturer has been offering for some time. It combines great value with decent versatility and unlike the more expensive laptops in its class, it does not suffer from a higher price tag just because of the brand.

Inside, an Intel Atom N270 processor is running the show and it manages to keep things nice and modern with Windows 7 preinstalled. This is the cut-down netbook version of the new operating system, but it includes most of the functionality of the full version with the added bonus of improved battery life.

The S10-2 has a 10.1 inch screen, but unlike other similarly sized laptops from the competitors, the keyboard is virtually full size. This means that the typing experience is excellent and you will never feel as if the keys are cramped or difficult to use.

The S10-2 has all of the standard elements of modern computing you would expect, with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allowing for instant messaging, email, voice chat and video streaming whilst you are on the move. And of course the S10-2 is perfect for web browsing, although anything more strenuous is ill-advised because of the necessarily limited hardware.
