JVC GZ-HD10EK

Are you someone who is looking to record all your family’s precious moments? Are you bothered because some camcorders are just way too expensive for just taking a little bit of family video? Well, you may be facing this problem because you have not yet seen the JVC GZ-HD10EK, this is a camcorder that is perfect for families!

JVC may not be a popular camcorder brand like Panasonic or Sony. This may be one of the reasons why you may not have considered purchasing a camcorder from them. But the brand of this camera doesn’t matter, it’s still a very good and reliable camcorder! You will know what I am talking about once you lay your eyes on the fantastic JVC GZ-HD10EK.

In this camcorder, it is all about meeting the features that an ordinary family camcorder should have. Moments will not be cut short with the GZ-HD10’s 40 gig HDD that can store up to 3 hours of video. And if that memory is still not enough for your needs, you will be happy when you hear that this camcorder has a micro SD slot that can take up to 8GB of memory. That should store more than 5000 stills. That can fill up more than 100 family albums.

But of course, the power of a camcorder is not really on its memory. It is on how it captures your life’s moments. This can only be done if your camcorder is fully equipped with the right tools. Fortunately, the GZ-HD10 has a Konica Minolta High Definition lens that has a 10x optical zoom. There is also a Digital Image Stabilizer which will dramatically reduce camera shake that is common when recording video. This makes the JVC GZ-HD10 an ideal camera for capturing your son/daughter’s performance on stage. On top of that, the camcorder also has a LED focus feature that can help you on capturing low lighted areas.

The JVC GZ-HD10EK is small in size and it can fit the hand in a comfortable manner. The look is literally “edgy” unlike its rounded edged counterparts in the market. The microphone is intelligently located on the right handgrip making it easy for the “shooter” to talk. One downside to its design is the sharp bottom making it uncomfortable to the thumb during prolonged shooting. The sound system is also in Dolby and not surround. Also, the screen cannot be triggered by touch and only has two buttons that can access the main menu and setup of the camcorder.

On a positive note, the buttons are easy to use with its straightforward functions. While it may lack in some parts, it can still be justified with its friendly price. Also, one cannot deny that the HD10 really performs well. Some JVC HD10 users have claimed how their camcorders have delivered sharp and high quality images. In fact, it may seem like the HD10 may give brighter images than the HD30 and 40 which cost even more. The snapshot function is also flawless with no lags. With its price and quality, I can say that the JVC GZ-HD10 is a camcorder that is worth buying.
