HP Envy 15-1000 Laptop
As the name suggests, the HP Envy laptop range is at the top of the pecking order in the HP line-up and it is designed to inspire desire and admiration in every way.
It features one of the most advanced mobile processors in the form of the Intel i7, which runs at 1.6Ghz and will chew through virtually every task you throw at it. If you want to go insane you can install up to 16GB of RAM into the HP Envy 15-1000, although doing so will set you back a considerable amount and will be overkill. However, it is nice to know that the road for upgrading is well and truly open.
Either a 320GB or a 500GB hard drive is included and the graphics card from ATI packs a whopping 1GB of dedicated graphics memory which can be augmented with even more depending on your system RAM configuration and availability.
Bear in mind that with all the kit inside this laptop it is neither small, nor light, nor particularly suitable for use on your lap as all the components will get rather hot if you set it to a difficult task. That being said, this laptop is aiming to completely replace a desktop completely and it performs this task with gusto.
