XL H1 Features

The Canon XL H1 utilises the state-of-the-art XL interchangeable lens mount system; with a range of compatible lenses and lens peripherals available, the possibilities are endless. Exceptional audio versatility is provided with 4-channel recording, XLR audio support Audio Lock options.Built for full studio integration, the Canon XL H1 comes complete with an HD-SDI, Gen lock and Time code connections. Specialist software (available separately) enables the camera to be controlled remotely via a computer.

Optical Technology

Designed for the advanced digital filmmaker, the Canon XL H1 features highly advanced optical technology offering exceptional performance and versatility.

Three 1/3″ 1.67 Megapixel CCD’s and Canon’s DIGIC DV II processor ensure optimum results. Images are rendered in stunning HD quality with vivid colours, rich detail and widescreen resolution.

Integral to the stunning optical performance of the Canon XL H1 is the 38.9-778mm (35mm range) 20x optical zoom HD Video Lens featuring fluorite elements and Vari-angle Prism Optical Image Stabilizer engineering. An advanced SR lens surface treatment neutralises glare and other visual anomalies.

Advanced Shooting Options

As is to be expected from a professional camera, the Canon XL H1 can be fully customised to suit your shooting needs. Take control with manual shooting options, programmable image parameters and a wide range of other features. Personal preferences can even be saved to SD/MMC cards as custom settings.

Manual focusing is possible via the Focus Assist feature.

Capture some cinematic flair with Total CINE mode, faithfully re-creating the look and feel of film.

HDV 1080i, HD 1080i and DV (standard definition) formats are all supported by the Canon XL H1 camcorder, as are 50i and 25f frame rates.
