XH A1 Features
Advanced controls are made simple courtesy of the Canon XH A1’s compact, functional construction. Manual control over focus, zoom and lens iris (aperture) are easily accessible via three separate control rings placed on the lens body.
Compose and review movies in widescreen with either the 2.8″ LCD or 0.57″ electronic viewfinder (EVF). The widescreen LCD screen is conveniently placed on top of the camcorder’s body and can be neatly folder away when it isn’t needed.
The Canon XH A1 has been designed to deliver optimum handling and performance. It is perfectly balanced for smooth handheld operation and features conveniently located controls to give maximum comfort during extended use. An internal battery system enables faultless shooting in demanding situations.

The Canon XH A1 boasts a stunning 32.5-650mm (35mm range) Canon L-series 20x optical zoom lens complete with Canon’s pioneering Super Range Optical Image Stabilizer technology to eliminate camera shake.
Enhanced lens performance comes courtesy of advanced optical features such as Ultra-low Dispersion glass, fluorite elements and sophisticated lens coatings.
Canon’s Instant AF provides fast and accurate auto-focusing, making sure that you get the most out of the exceptional clarity that High Definition video has to offer. Focus Assist enables manual focus control.
Inside the Canon XH A1 lies the formidable DIGIC DV II processor. Specially designed to cope with the the demands of high definition video, it delivers noise reduction, outstanding image handling and superior colour rendition.

With the digital filmmaker in mind, the Canon XH A1 high definition camcorder features a wide range of advanced shooting options including cine gamma, customisable presets and 50i or 25F frame rates.
