The Canon Digital IXUS 960 IS has a massive 12.1 megapixel sensor that delivers sufficient detail to produce huge poster size prints.
Outstanding Performance
The Canon Digital IXUS 960 IS has a 3.7x optical zoom lens and includes Canon’s respected optical image stabilizer technology to avoid camera shake. The compact lens incorporates an ultra-high refractive aspherical index (UA) element to capture the highest quality images right through the zoom range.
High ISO 1600 and ISO Auto Shift offer enhanced protection against blur and camera shake.
Canon’s renowned DIGIC III processor delivers fast responses, superb image quality and advanced noise reduction for sharper, clearer images. Face detection functionality (AF/AE/FE) analyses the planned scene, detects subjects in the picture and selects the best focus, exposure and flash settings to ensure the optimum image is captured.
Face detection technology allows you to quickly correct red-eye without affecting other parts of the image.
The PureColour LCD displays rich, vivid colours through its high resolution 230,000 pixel display screen. Visibility is enhanced by an anti-glare, scratch resistant lcd screen which also helps against knocks and bumps.
The Canon Digital IXUS 960 IS has 18 shooting modes to help capture images in most circumstances, including low light. My Colours in-camera photo effects can be applied both during and after shooting.
Movie modes include Long Play for VGA clips at 30fps and Time Lapse Movie mode which captures changing scenes, such as sunsets or flowers blooming. This can then be accelerated to playback as a smooth video clip.
