BT Verve

BT Verve 500

The BT Verve 500 is a cordless phone that incorporates an answering machine – which can be accessed remotely, from individual handsets – in its main base station. The answering machine can record up to 30 minutes of incoming messages in total. Up to 255 names and numbers can be stored in the phone book, or directory, up to 30 SMS text messages can be stored in the text mailbox, and a SIM card reader is also included.

Typical battery life is 12 hours talk time, or 120 hours standby time, and handsets can be operated at up to 150 ft from a base station, including in hands free, or speaker phone, mode. The BT Verve 500 handset also features a large colour display – capable of caller display, if enabled – and the “quick dial” feature allows any of 10 stored numbers to be dialled with just two button presses.

BT Verve 450

The BT Verve 450 is another cordless phone with answering machine, and provides high quality call clarity – including in hands free, or speaker phone, mode – whether you are talking, or listening, on the phone. A flashing light indicates that one, or more, messages are waiting until such a time that they are listened to, and/or deleted.

It is also easy to see the calls that you have made, and received, from the outgoing and incoming calls lists, and the length of time you have spent on the phone, from the call timer on the LCD. Other features of the BT Verve 450 include the ability to choose different ringer melodies, and a visual, and audible, warning if you attempt to operate a handset out of range of a base station. Call transfer allows external calls to be directed to a specific handset, while paging function allows an alert to be sent to the user of any particular handset.

BT Verve 3010

The BT Verve 3010 is a digital cordless phone – and, obviously, a base station – designed for hands free, or speaker phone, operation and including a headset, so that you can move freely around your home, or office, while on the phone.

The BT Verve 3010 telephone directory has storage capacity for 100 names and telephone numbers – up 12 characters for names, up to 22 digits for numbers – and caller display is supported. Caller display does, of course, rely on that feature being enabled by your telephone network provider, but, if so, the telephone number and/or name – if present in the telephone directory – is displayed, along with the date and time of the call.

The BT Verve 3010 also provides a choice of 10 ringer melodies and 5 volume settings. Internal calls between BT Verve 3010 handsets is a possibility – additional handsets purchased separately need to be “linked”, or “paired”, with the existing base station before they can be used, but this is a straightforward process – so you can have a different ringer melody for internal, and external, calls.
